MESA is a DJ and producer from Oakland, California, championing a new generation of house and techno selectors. He founded Sixth Sense, a Black American–focused club night, and Nuyo Ritmo, an event series celebrating Puerto Rican and Black American influence in dance music. As a core member of Brooklyn’s Level III Collective, he helps shape a club culture rooted in diasporic rhythm, storytelling, and community.
Grounded in Black studies and immersed in sound system culture, MESA’s sets blend the soulful ethos of Oakland with the driving beats of Black American house and techno. His selections channel heritage and innovation, bridging local roots with global sounds.
He has performed alongside Black Rave Culture, DJ Swisha, and Memphy, and helped produce Level III events featured on Apple Music and YouTube. Known for reviving the DJ trading card as a promo tool, MESA also co-leads curation for Level III’s radio, editorial, and club platforms.
MESA has played NYC venues including Silo, Elsewhere, and Carpark, with international stops in London, Tokyo, and CDMX. Wherever he plays, his aim is the same: creating spaces where music, movement, and memory converge.
